This firing menu covers bisque and glaze firing services for pottery made during our courses and experiences.
1. Firing Prices
Pricing is based on the approximate combined volume of your work.
Volume is an estimate of the space occupied in the kiln by your pottery, not the volume of clay used to make it.
2. Firing Schedule
Our standard firing schedule consists of two firings:
Bisque and Glaze firing
Actual firing times may vary depending on the load.
3. Glazing & Finishing
One-Day Pottery Experience
An additional finishing, packaging, and shipping fee applies to work you wish to keep and have delivered after your experience.
Firing fees are charged separately.
Please refer to the One-Day Pottery Experience Shipping Menu for our domestic and international shipping prices.
One-Month & Three-Month Courses
Participants are responsible for trimming and glazing their own work using the studio's available glazes.
The additional finishing, packaging, and shipping service offered to one-day experience participants is not included in these courses.
Firing fees apply to work you wish to keep and are charged separately according to this menu.
Participants must arrange their own packing and shipping if they wish to have their work delivered.
4. Important Information
Only glazes available in the studio may be used unless otherwise agreed.
Pottery must be sufficiently dry before firing.
Additional drying time is required, so finished work will not be available immediately after a session.
Cracking, warping, or breakage may occur during drying and firing. While every effort is made to handle work carefully, successful firing cannot be guaranteed.
Course fees do not include independent kiln access, kiln rental, or instruction in kiln operation, in accordance with the studio's lease agreement.
Oversized work, unusual firing requirements, or special handling may incur additional charges.
Please discuss your firing and glazing requirements with the studio before leaving your work.
Thank you for supporting our independent pottery studio!
